Our Rad Story
Hey, Rad Human. My name is Svetlana, and I started Rad Hats for Rad Humans in 2024, or rather, it kind of started itself. I had a hat with a stain on it, so I decided to paint it to cover the stain. Ten hours later, I had made my first Rad Hat. When I wore it out, people kept saying how rad my hat was. A couple of months later, I was in boutiques all over Northern California.
Around that same time, I adopted a dog named Rad, and yes, he came with that name. Sometimes the script the universe writes is a lot more interesting than anything we could come up with.
Rad was my soul dog and the love of my life. Having him with me while I made these hats was one of the most meaningful times of my life. I have since lost him, and I have continued to make the hats in his honor. That is why I donate half of all the proceeds to rescuing dogs. I love dogs and hats more than anything in this world.
Every hat on this page was designed by Svetlana and made with love. Each one features a custom mantra commissioned for the Rad human who carries its story forward. Rad's spirit is stitched into every single one.
Life is rad, especially when we do what we love. It really is that simple.
